Ever since she got her first fitness certification at the age of 16 Kathryn knew her life’s purpose was to help others feel their best. As a trained executive coach Kathryn specializes in Pilates and yoga and developing professionals’ business and skills. Today Kathryn is the National Pilates Program Manager for Life Time Fitness® and is a member of the Leadership Team for Peak Pilates®.
Although she started her career as an indoor cycling instructor and personal trainer, she quickly recognizing the trans-formative power of Pilates. Now, with over 20 years’ experience, she has been featured in Pilates Style Magazine, nationally on NBC and in the Peak Pilates exercise libraries and digital workouts. Kathryn is a respected and well-known international presenter on Pilates and business. She has completed two classical comprehensive Pilates certifications with PilateSystems and Peak Pilates® totaling over 1000 hours of training. A member of the Peak Pilates® leadership team she has been certifying teachers and developing other master instructors for 15 years and is known for her approachability.
As the National Pilates Program Manager for Life Time Fitness® Kathryn supports 140 studios, 600 instructors and over 4,000 clients. As both a previous studio owner Kathryn has unique perspective for Pilates businesses that range from one instructor to multiple facilities. She presents and helps other professionals on the business of Pilates and shares valuable lessons she has learned along the way.
Learning never ends. Kathryn’s commitment to developing people began in the studio helping clients achieve their goal through Pilates and then expanded to mentoring instructors and has grown to today where she spends most of her time developing leaders and managers. As a Registered Corporate Coach certified recognized by the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches Kathryn brings her coaching skills to help individuals unlock their untapped potential and set and achieve their wildest goals.
Zoey Trap, MS is a lifelong student of mindbody practices. Her journey has encompassed yoga, Pilates, and qigong, as well as lesser known movement practices such as somatics and dance therapy. Zoey was first introduced to Pilates and yoga during her career as a professional contemporary dancer; today she is an internationally renowned mindbody presenter, known as a pioneer in bringing Pilates and Yoga to the fitness field over 20 years ago. She has been published in 7 languages, taught instructors on 4 continents, and been featured in 8 DVD’s. Zoey is a sought out expert in the field having been quoted in numerous articles and featured on national television.
With an MS in Exercise Science and a research focus on alternative therapy and the spine, Zoey has a passion for combining the art and science of teaching movement to maximize human potential.
As a Peak Pilates Master Trainer she has been instrumental in developing the instructor educational and certification programs, as well as designing the coaching system used by Peak Trainers. Zoey is the Peak Pilates Team Leader and is responsible for training and mentoring instructor trainers all over the world. Zoey has been nominated for Shape Up Presenter of the Year, and written programs for Nautilus, Keiser, and LifeTime Fitness. She was featured in Pilates Style Magazine in March, 2009. Zoey has worked closely with Pilates Elder Mary Bowen for the last 5 years and is beginning studies with Pilates Elder Lolita San Miguel in July.
